Can I say from the outset that I absolutely love Instagram! Such a fabulous community of like minded people, there are so many gorgeous accounts that I love to follow and Instagram is how this blog came to be. I’ve literally just cried with laughter at an Instagram account I’ve just stumbled across, the posts were brilliant!
I have always loved taking photos, always travelled and loved taking pictures to document my journey, especially so pre-children, I must have literally thousands of photographs all printed off very “old school” and meticulously placed into albums all fondly named and dated etc.
Those days are gone, children, Tiggy and her brothers, have taken over and there simply isn’t time to sit and do this, especially with the amount of photos I take of the children!! This is why I love Instagram, all my fave photos all in one place but getting to “the perfect” photo for Instagram when the subject of the photo is a baby that can move, and fast, leads to so much laughter!
I often think and wish that someone was standing alongside us filming my taking a picture of her. Sometimes it’s effortless, Tiggy will quite happily be playing or sitting still enough to get a shot, other times it can just be a “lucky shot” that’s taken on a whim but amazingly is perfect and then there are the times I’ve nearly broken my neck dangling from a chair, even a table or some other equally ridiculous positioned object and then there are the times that Tiggy moves so fast I can’t catch her quick enough or when she even wants to eat the subject matter, flowers, her brother’s shoes or even sand when we’ve been at the beach!
So trying to get a picture of her with some sunflowers recently was no mean feat and many a giggle and much laughter was had, especially when she pulled a flower from the vase and held it like a guitar! What you don’t see in these photos are her three brothers all stood behind and to the side of me jumping about like crazy trying to get her to look our way!
I’m incredibly lucky that Tiggy is a beautiful baby (even if I do say so myself) and if you, like me, are a perfectionist, I take so many photograph’s in the hope that one will be “perfect” (they’re all perfect of Tiggy in my eyes) but one thing’s for sure, there’s nothing “insta” about instagram when working with a small child but oh the laughs and hilarity we’ve had! Long may you make me smile, giggle and outright “belly laugh” little Tiggy! xoxo
