Whooaaa September, where d’ya go?! Is it me or do the months seem to be passing by at an alarming rate this year? I simply cannot believe we’re in October tomorrow!
We’ve had a wonderful month, little Tiggy is now 15 months old! Yes, 15! Crazy!! Tiggy joined her brothers on an “open morning” at their school nature reserve where she had great fun in what was the most gorgeous Autumn morning light (the pics above). We had a final morning at the beach in “summer clothes” (the pic below), and lots of trips to play at the park and to feed the ducks, making the most of the lovely September weather we’ve had.
Tiggy has no more teeth but I swear I’m signing her for MENSA sometime soon as I do not recall her brothers stringing sentences together at this age! But Tiggy can say a few. She easily says “where are you?” usually as I’m saying the exact same thing searching for her brother William who decides to play hide and seek in our home most afternoons, but can usually be found by my shouting out “Ooh look sweeties!” or something similar! Yes, I am a “resort to bribery when all else fails” kinda momma!! haha!! Hey it works. Tiggy has also discovered the play area in our garden that she insists she too can play on!
Tiggy can also say “look at this”, “there it is” and “nigh night”. She is super duper sweet and super smart too.
In addition to her speech, her walking skills have improved but what I have noticed (and I’ll spare you the gruesome videos of her falling, cut short by my dashing to pick her up!) is that if she should topple over whilst toddling, she doesn’t put her hands out to break her fall and inevitably lands head first! It’s been horrible watching her bump her head and so for the time being all uneven surfaces are out of bounds until she’s a little firmer on her feet.
We’ve even been to a farm where Tiggy’s brother Reuben was invited to feed some sheep and Tiggy being Tiggy got stuck in too, albeit she was more interested in emptying the trough one grain at a time!
Tiggy’s hair is just beautiful, such gorgeous blonde curls which her father announced today “must be cut it’s getting too long” but that is not going to happen anytime soon, we simply need to invest in some fabulous hair clips which I had done but out and about on our travels seem to go missing (very much like socks albeit not the pair, just the one), although Tiggy was crying in the back of my car today and when I pulled over to check she was ok I found today’s hair clip firmly attached to her finger! Note to self and others – do not leave hair clips in when travelling!
This month, like always, we have ventured “up hill and down dale” and made some wonderful memories along the way. Tiggy has collaborated with The White Company and it’s Little White Company which we are utterly proud about and to view the post click on the link HERE
We’ve also collaborated with JORD who make wood watches and there’s a blog post to follow, and our latest blog post “September In The Garden” in collaboration with The National Botanic Garden of Wales can be seen by clicking on this link HERE.
We also took a trip to Roald Dahl’s “unexpected city”, an event held in Cardiff this month to mark the centenary which was great fun complete with giant peach!
We’ve also kept up our tradition of Autumn walks which as a family we really enjoy (see previous post Autumn Walks & New Traditions).
