Ahh Munchkin, if you weren’t one of our favourite brands before (which of course you very much were), you certainly are so now. What a fabulous brand to work with and I can’t thank the truly lovely people at Munchkin enough for how lovely you have been to me over the past month. Needless to say this post is written in collaboration with Munchkin and all words, pictures and “gushiness” of how much Tiggy and I have loved the brand and the products are truly my own.
I’ll start by saying that Tiggy had plenty of baby products from Munchkin prior to us collaborating with them, as in true fashion with this blog we have been fortunate to work alongside brands we genuinely love and Munchkin is no exception. This post will focus on bathtime with Munchkin and another blog post will follow shortly about feeding and eating with Munchkin.
When Munchkin asked what baby products we might like to try out, and browsing through their gorgeous products, their bathtime ones jumped out mainly because Tiggy, having three older brothers often has their toys to play with and whilst Tiggy absolutely loves to play in water, for some unknown reason she has a little fear of bathtime. I’m quite unsure why, so bathtime products seemed like a great idea in that Tiggy could have some bath toys of her own now that she has “graduated” to the big bath and I figured they may also help her overcome her fear of bathtime. When I say fear, Tiggy seems to like the idea of getting into the bath but once in is very much keen to jump on out, that’s of course if I can get Tiggy to stay still long enough to get her in the bath!
The first item from Munchkin I chose for her was their White Hot Inflatable Safety Duck Bath which has White Hot® technology to warn you when the bath temperature is too hot for your baby. I also thought this baby product might help the transition from baby bath to big bath which in fairness to Tiggy must seem a little daunting especially as she really is a petite little thing and seems lost in the vast space that comes when you place her into a big bath!
Tiggy absolutely loved the duck and was just as keen to play in it out of the water as she was in the water! I should also mention that the duck was quick and easy to inflate, especially as I cheated and used an electric pump rather than to blow it up myself but it literally took a couple of minutes and likewise with the pump, just as easy to deflate to pack away compactly which is super handy to take on your travels with you.
There will come a time when Tiggy will be too big for the inflatable safety duck so I also chose Munchkin’s Dots™ Bath Mat, a colourful non-slip bath mat so that Tiggy would be safe whilst sat in the bath. This baby product also helped in making Tiggy more at ease in the water as she seems most interested in and distracted by the colourful dots which has also helped make her bathtime a little more relaxed and fun, plus it looks great!
No baby bathtime would be complete without bath toys and whilst Tiggy has previously played with her brothers bath toys, she now has her very own and she has absolutely loved playing with them! No more fears or tears from Tiggy at bathtime here as this selection of toys has done the trick!
What we chose, what Munchkin says about the products, together with links to them on Munchkin’s website should you wish to purchase the same:
- Waterpede™ Bath Toy – No ordinary centipede. This crawly creature is ready to excite baby’s bathtime imagination, as water flows through its fun, interactive chambers.
- Wonder Waterway – Let the fun flow. Stimulate your little one’s wonder with three interactive characters that connect together to create a fun waterway.
- Lazy Buoys – There’s nothing lazy about this toy! Spin, nest, scoop and strain, these are just some of the ways your child will be busy with this set of interactive characters.
I am extremely grateful to Munchkin for their kind generosity in gifting Tiggy the items above and whilst I can’t thank them enough I may need a few more as her brothers have taken a shine to them too, clearly suitable for and enjoyed by a range of ages…
**I’d also like to say a huge thank you to the lovely people at The Corran (see previous blog posts Sunday Lunch At The Corran and Afternoon Tea At The Corran) for allowing us to have use of their gorgeous bathroom in “The Cottage” which you too can enjoy if you book to stay at The Corran. It’s absolutely gorgeous here and Tiggy as you can see from the pictures above thoroughly enjoyed!**
