Tiggy at 17 months old is now at the stage whereby she insists on feeding herself. I guess it helps (or maybe doesn’t) that with three older brothers who can all eat by themselves, Tiggy can clearly see what they do and wants to follow suit.
This blog post has been a little time in the making and I’d like to wholeheartedly thank the lovely people at Munchkin for bearing with me. One of the main reasons for taking some time is that if you have a toddler or baby at the weaning stage you will know exactly what I mean when I say that feeding times resemble “feeding time at the zoo” and that doesn’t make for the most prettiest of pictures!
I love that Tiggy has the confidence to want to learn and try things for herself but I’m not too keen on her re-decorating our kitchen in the process! Trying to get any sort of photograph whereby one of us, yes me too, (Tiggy has the most accurate of aims, another joy of her having three older brothers who are all hugely into sport) from being completely covered in food has not been an easy task!
What has made life easier though are the wonderful products we’ve had and road tested (literally they have been everywhere with us as you’ll note from the photographs in this post) from Munchkin.
This post is clearly written in collaboration with Munchkin but I’d like to take a moment to assure you that the thoughts and comments made in this post are purely my own and borne out of having had Munchkin products before we collaborated with them and of course using daily the products we’ve had since.
So I’ll start by telling you what products are under review in this post together with links to the products on Munchkin’s website should you wish to purchase these items yourself.
These are fabulous. They’re bright and colourful, shaped like apples as their name suggests and nestle into one another so storage is easy. They’re light weight and easy enough to pop into Tiggy’s bag to take with us on our travels which is handy as usually Tiggy will share from our meals in restaurants as too small to eat some of the portions by herself. Tiggy’s used them at home too and the different sections of the plates has allowed for easy separation of different foods for Tiggy to try.
Tiggy is keen to use cutlery herself and these are perfect! They’re perfectly sized and shaped for little hands and brightly coloured so appealing too.
Tiggy has literally taken this everywhere and it’s super handy to do so and ideal to pop her favourite treats in, usually blueberries, and comes with a lid too to keep everything fresh.
This too has been in constant use. Tiggy is brilliant at getting fluids on board, she drinks cup after cup of water and this cup is ideal as she sees her older brothers drinking from their water bottles and this cup allows her to copy them but with a toddler friendly version so there are no spills.
You’ll note plenty of pictures of Tiggy with her Miracle® 360° Trainer Cup -7oz/207ml. This we had prior to collaborating with Munchkin and this too has been a brilliant cup that I highly recommend with it’s neat little handles for little hands to hold, and if like me you’re not a fan of “dummies” or “pacifiers” drinking from these rather than from a babies bottle with a teat now that Tiggy has teeth is ideal. Neither Tiggy or any of her brothers have ever had a pacifier and this cup was the ideal transitional cup for Tiggy.
You’ll also see from the pictures that Tiggy wears her To-Go Bib (Pink/Yellow) this too we had prior to collaborating and it’s perfect for folding and popping into my bag for trips out and about or leaving in my bag just in case we should end up having a bite to eat somewhere as it takes up minimal space as it folds in on itself and is super easy to rinse or wipe clean.
We also “road tested” Munchkin’s Lift™ Infant Spoons – 3 Pack and Tiggy has loved using these as pretty much point blank refuses to let me spoon feed her so they’re ideal for her to use herself.
In conclusion we’ve always been a fan of Munchkin here and prior to Tiggy I used their products for her brothers, so it was a natural choice to purchase their baby products for Tiggy and I was absolutely delighted when a collaboration with them came about. Having experienced Munchkin from both a satisfied customer perspective and now having collaborated with them they truly are a brand I recommend and Tiggy has come on leaps and bounds feeding herself and being happy that she can be just like her older brothers thanks to the products she’s had. I’d like to say a huge heartfelt thank you to the lovely people at Munchkin for their kind generosity in gifting Tiggy the items xoxo
