A month of exploring our new surroundings since our house move is what this month has pretty much entailed. We’ve so much on our doorstep here and with sunnier days Tiggy and I have spent our mornings having completed the school run to take her brothers to school having a little wander to see what we could find.
We’ve walked through beautiful gardens…
…played on pretty beaches where Tiggy absolutely loves “jumping waves”.
We went in search of Barafundle Bay as it’s said to be one of Britain’s best beaches, one of the best in the world even, but we couldn’t find it and ended up on another called Freshwater East.
We ate cream scones over looking the beach…
…and enjoyed some family time at home in our garden.
One of the nicest days spent in our garden was Mother’s Day. The weather was fantastic and we ate a picnic lunch beneath a tree before trying to take a picture of Tiggy and her brothers with myself, something that we started last year and I’m now going to insist on each Mother’s Day, as once a year it might be nice to have all 4 of the little ones here captured in a picture to see how we grow and change over the years.
Tiggy seems to have grown so much over this month. Not only is she getting taller, her hair longer, but her speech is progressing quickly and she can now recognise herself in a picture or a mirror and refers to herself as “Tiddie” which is just the sweetest.
She starts her sentences with either “Mummy” or “Daddy” before launching into a full sentence or question and we’re able to decipher a few words but Tiggy looks at you once she’s finished as if she has made perfect sense and is waiting for you to answer her or do whatever she’s asked. This often leads to a little frustration on her part as we try to piece together what she’s saying but it is oh so sweet and bless her for trying.
Tiggy is playing more with building blocks (just like her brothers) and enjoys sitting with them putting blocks together, she’s also started to copy her brothers colouring albeit it’s only scribbles at this stage, but her skills and coordination are coming along in leaps and bounds.
If you’ve read February’s post you’ll know Tiggy has become most fussy with her eating and this is something that has continued through March and is of a little concern that she simply will not eat her meals no matter what I put in front of her. Tiggy will eat endless fruit and loves all fruits, but fruit alone isn’t going to help her grow, so this is what we’re currently considering is options to make her food more appealable and fun. Any suggestions in this regard are very much welcome!
March saw us team up with some more wonderful companies, some not for the first time and I took so many lovely photos of Tiggy that here are some of my faves…
