Where on earth 2017 went I’ve no idea and writing these monthly updates has made it seem to go all the more quickly as no sooner do I write the post we’re into the next month!
December was a magical month, Tiggy’s older brothers were so excited for Christmas that their excitement fuelled Tiggy’s excitement, although I’ve no doubt she had no idea what she was excited about until she saw on Christmas morning, where she was as excited as her bothers to be tearing wrapping paper from presents.
Add in to the mix that we have a newborn little Pip here, there were points excitement reached “fever pitch” and it was wonderful to witness and akin to re-living my own childhood excitement, truly magical!
We were incredibly fortunate to work alongside some amazing companies this month, Mothercare, Baby Mori, Mamas & Papas, JoJo Maman Bebe, John Lewis, Daniel Wellington, to name but a few! Click on their names or check out our Instagram to be taken to what we’ve been up to.
So a somewhat busy month as you can imagine but we still managed to squeeze in so much more! One of the funniest things we witnessed was on Boxing Day where lots of crazy people raced into the sea but all in a good cause, raising money for charity. I’m not sure I’d be brave enough to run into icy waters but Tiggy, her brothers too, giggled at the sight!
We visited Christmas Fairs aplenty, went to pick a Christmas tree, our elf “Jingle Bell Joey” returned bringing a tree of his own, the children were awake early each morning trying to find him and squealing with delight when they did, even little Tiggy enjoyed seeing what mischief the elf had been up to.
We decorated Christmas trees at home, or should I say that the children did and whilst normally I’d go rearrange the baubles once the children weren’t looking, this year I overcame my “OCD bauble placement obsession” and left them just as the children had placed them, no mean feat for someone who likes things “just so”.
We wore matching Christmas pyjamas and trying to capture a family photo with us all in them was hilarious!
A few of the out-takes…
We made gingerbread houses, went on winter walks, drank hot chocolates with all the trimmings and made some wonderful family memories carrying on with our festive traditions.
As for Tiggy this month, she really is no longer a baby but fast becoming the most wonderful little girl. So loving and caring with little Pip is she, her vocabulary incredible and full conversations now happening with her sense of humour and amazing little character shining through. She wants to help with everything I do and can’t do enough to help with little Pip, she really is a remarkable little girl and one I’m immensely proud to call mine.
Pip turned two months old this month and she really is the most delightful baby.
So thank you December for being a truly lovely family orientated month with lots of wonderful memories made xoxo.
