A very dear friend of mine is a midwife and when she discovered I was pregnant with little Pip she said “you simply must have one of those 3 sided cribs, they’re wonderful and highly recommended”.
I had absolutely no idea what she was on about and before I could look into it we were approached on behalf of Snuz. The timing was perfect, as if it were fate, and without giving the ending of this review away I couldn’t be happier that they asked if we’d like to try out their SnuzPod2 bedside crib 3 in 1. To link to the product and for full details click on this link SnuzPod2 Bedside Crib as this review will focus on what we think of it.
When the SnuzPod arrived at our home it was prior to the arrival of our little Pip and was one of the first items to arrive for our impending little bundle. It’s delivery made the imminent due date and having our baby seem so very real and was so exciting. My husband put the SnuzPod together and in no time it was proudly stood next to our bed. Tiggy was most intrigued by it, first putting her dolly affectionately known as “Dodo” into it quickly followed by herself! A sure sign of approval!
Within no time it seemed our little Pip arrived and I couldn’t wait to use the SnuzPod. It’s a 3 in 1 so can be used as a bassinet, a stand alone crib with it’s side up or as a 3 sided crib next to the bed and comes with straps to secure it to your bed frame should you wish to.
I’ve used it both next to the bed and as a stand alone and the transition between the two is effortless, simply a couple of zips, some velcro and a metal rod and “ta-da”, so it’s really easy to use too. It has a mesh panel on the side that can be removed so that at night whilst in bed she’s right next to me but safely so and if the side is up it’s easy to see little Pip through the mesh and check she’s ok without having to jump out of bed and inevitably wake her.
I’ve not had a bedside crib with my older children and Pip sleeps by far the best of them all achieving many hours sleep between feeds. There could of course be many reasons for this but I would definitely say that the SnuzPod has made life a little easier, Pip is clearly very happy and content in it and I’d highly recommend it xoxo.
